Short
description of the story of the opera composed by W. A. Mozart.
Count and Countess
Almaiva lived in a very charming castle near Sevilla.
They enjoyed inviting
guests to celebrate extraordinary festivals in the castle.
The Count was known
as a "bonvivant" and admirer of beautiful woman.
So he took some
chances if there were some.
The Countess loved her husband and accepted his
foible with a mild smile.
"Figaro" the servant of the count and
"Susanna" the lady's maid
have always been very endeavouring for
the well-being of the Count and the Countess.
Figaro and Susanna have been
lovers. They planned to get married the same year.
But in Sevilla it was
a custom to get the consent in to that marriage from the
so-called employer
of the servant and it also was a habit that in this case
the count is enabled
to spend the 1. night with the bride.
Figaro thought: "The count is
very amazed of Susanna!"
He would take advantage of this situation! Therefore
Figaro and Susanna together
with the Countess hatched a sly plan to avoid
this right to spend the 1. night with the bride.
